Lantau Island Private Tour
Lantau Island Private Tour
Lantau is known as the "green lung" of Hong Kong, and when you visit, you feel like you've stepped back in time 50 years. On this 8-hour private tour, we'll take you around this largely untouched island and show you all that it has to offer.
First, we'll pick you up from your hotel and head to Tung Chung. Here, you'll be able to take a 24-minute cable car ride to Ngong Ping Village, admiring the incredible mountain views as you go.
We'll also see the Po Lin Monastery and the Big Buddha statue, and we'll explain the importance of Buddhism and how it is represented in the hearts and minds of the people of Hong Kong. Plus, we'll climb up the 268 steps to the Big Buddha.
Next, we'll head to Tai O village; this is a must-see for anyone visiting Hong Kong. The peaceful, relaxing village is one of the best-preserved places on Lantau Island and all of Hong Kong. Here, we'll take a small boat ride to catch a look at the stilted houses and to see the Tai O Heritage hotel.
You'll be able to explore and understand this friendly island and its monasteries and temples with the help of our expert tour guides. Plus you'll have the chance to buy unique homemade sweets and local seafood. Afterwards, we'll take a ferry back to Tung Ching and from there we'll head back to your hotel.
